In the Field: Redland’s Fall Site Visits

Dec 01, 2017

Nothing beats the real thing, which is what the Redland office got to experience this fall.  Our team momentarily stepped away from our CAD drawings and went out to visit two of our recently completed projects in the Denver Metro Area.

Multiple times a year, the Redland team makes it a point to tour our projects.  We walk the site, view completed work, and discuss the unique challenges of designing and building each site.  This fosters a better understanding of project goals and the nuances between different project types.

Our first stop was Encompass Business Park in Centennial, a 62 acre property owned by Denver’s Central Development.  When fully built out, it will be home to an anticipated 9 buildings containing over 760,000 square feet of distribution and flex-office space.

We toured the site and visited the recently completed Encompass 150, designed by Littleton-based Intergroup Architects and built by Alcorn Construction, which is a 150,000 square foot office/distribution facility and is one of Southeast Denver’s largest spec industrial buildings.

After wrapping up at Encompass Business Park, the team saddled up and made a quick trip west to visit our second site, Ridgegate Lincoln Commons.

Located in the heart of Lone Tree, Lincoln Commons serves as a commercial district “entryway” to the thriving Ridgegate community.  We toured phase 2 of the Lincoln Commons development, owned by Quadrant Properties, and visited the recently completed Shops C building, designed by David P. Goode Architecture and constructed by Brinkmann Constructors.  Shops C already has its first tenant, Newk’s Eatery (the first to open in the state of Colorado).  We also viewed the under-construction Pad H building (also designed by David P Goode Architecture), which will bring additional retail/restaurant options to this lively and eclectic neighborhood.

Retail Civil Engineering Services

We are proud to have provided our civil engineering and entitlement services for these projects.  At Redland, it’s important for our associates to see and learn from both in-progress and completed projects.  It gives us a better understanding of the overall project goals, reliable design practices, and an appreciation for detail.  Ultimately it expands our expertise so that we can continue to provide quality services to help our clients, colleagues, and communities succeed and thrive.
