Solaire—a 221(d)(4) H.U.D. project—is an energy-friendly apartment community with a strong emphasis on sustainability, located in Brighton, Colorado.
Solaire features alternative energy systems including geothermal, wind turbine, and solar. The geothermal system is one of the largest residential systems operating in the western United States, providing climate control to each apartment building, recreation center, the community pool, and the outdoor pool. Redland implemented Low Impact Development (LID) practices with drought tolerant landscaping and low-flow plumbing fixtures to significantly decrease the community’s water consumption.
