Redland Visits the Villas at Ken Caryl

Nov 07, 2024 , , , , , ,

This Fall, the Redland team gathered for its semi-annual site visit to The Villas at Ken Caryl. The Redland site visit brings together all associates to take a closer look at an ongoing or completed project. It is an informative experience where associates can learn the importance of design and construction.

The Villas at Ken Caryl was selected for the site visit because four service lines were involved with the project. A collective project like this allows us to set up stations where each of Redland’s practice areas can share its experience with associate groups. This site visit went in-depth into construction practices, including overlot grading, dry utility placement, and best management practices. Our Civil Engineers and Land Planners shared the process of re-designing the former golf course into 22 acres with 124 homes. Our landscape architects discussed the parameters needed for communal spaces as associates previewed the Villas park and trails.

It was exciting to see the progress that has been made for the Villas at Ken Caryl, with Parcel 1A already having completed homes and Parcel 1B planning to begin vertical construction soon. At Redland, we value the educational and cultural aspects this event provided. We view getting out onsite with colleagues as a formative team experience and look forward to continuing the tradition in the Spring. To learn more about The Villas at Ken Caryl click HERE.
