All Eyes on Site

Jan 12, 2017

Twice a year, Redland associates leave their desks as a group for a day to visit our latest completed projects.  To close out 2016, we visited Meridian Village in Douglas County and Pearl DTC in Denver.

Meridian Village, our first stop, is a recently-completed, mixed-use, master-planned community just west of Parker.  Redland provided design and entitlement services for owner Shea Properties on this project, which consists of 195 single-family homes and 241 multi-family homes.  We toured the site on foot, stopping to review elements such as: the completed street design, single and paired home lots, the Badger Gulch drainage way, and the project’s multiple regional detention and water quality facilities.

After wrapping up our visit at Meridian Village, we headed north to Pearl DTC in the Denver Tech Center.

Pearl DTC is a multi-family development located just east of the I-25 and I-225 interchange in Denver.  Redland provided design and entitlement services for owner Carmel Partners on this 408-unit multi-family community.  We walked the site and reviewed the apartment buildings, the community clubhouse, the tuck-under parking garages, drive aisles, fire lanes, pedestrian access, roof drain discharge locations, and finished with a general discussion on good design practices for infill projects.

At Redland, it’s important for our associates to see and discuss these completed elements.  It gives us a better understanding of the overall project goals, consistent and reliable design practices, as well as an appreciation for detail.  We take pride in providing quality services to help our clients, colleagues, and communities succeed and thrive.
