Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center is a 24-acre medical campus located at 1719 E. 19th Street in Denver, Colorado.  The Exterior Renovation project included upgrading the 565-lineal foot patient pickup/drop-off corridor through the center of the campus including the addition of 3 canopies over the building entrances, upgrading a sunken courtyard, replacing the snowmelt system and improving traffic circulation and pedestrian access.

HealthOne put together a team of Perkins + Will for the architecture and Redland for the civil engineering and landscape architecture.  Layton Construction Company was the contractor.  Since the project was built over an existing parking garage, challenges included designing planters for landscaping over a structure and coordinating grading to work with a new snowmelt system.  The entitlement included amending the Planned Building Group for the entire 24 acres campus through the City and County of Denver to include the proposed project.  The adjacent existing public sidewalks were also analyzed and update to meet the City’s ADA requirements.
