Belmar Emergency Room is a 15,000 square foot two-story free-standing emergency department and medical office building for HCA HealthONE.
The project had to meet the City of Lakewood’s Mixed Use Core Urban zoning district which required stringent Build to Zone requirements.
Redland’s design challenges included an existing storm sewer conveying off-site flow from Wadsworth Boulevard. This bisected the site and forced the drainage of the new development to be conveyed overland to the existing detention pond. Redland provided coordination with Consolidated Mutual Water Company on building an off-site water main within Byers Avenue and Vance Court to serve the building and its occupants.
