Joe Ferris PE

Project Manager

Joe Ferris

As Project Manager in Redland’s Civil Engineering practice, Joe manages projects with a team of engineers, guiding design, budgets, and client relationships while supporting team growth.

Joe has contributed to two of Elbert County’s most conservation-focused master-planned communities. At Independence, he has helped shape a framework that balances growth with sustainable water systems and preserved open space. At Crescence, he is guiding a similar vision from the ground up, partnering with clients to create new communities designed with conservation in mind.

Joe stands out for his collaborative leadership style. He values every idea, believing the best solutions can come from anywhere, and encourages his team to take ownership and grow. As he likes to say, “the right design is never wrong.” It’s a mindset that keeps him open to better ideas and willing to adjust course if it leads to a stronger outcome.

A Civil Engineering graduate of Gonzaga University, Joe has more than a decade of land development experience in Colorado and Arizona. Inspired by his grandfather, a chemical engineer for the Army, Joe was drawn to engineering for its lasting impact on communities. He joined Redland in 2024, motivated by the chance to contribute to the region’s growth while also expanding his expertise in business development and mentoring early-career engineers.

Joe is a family-first guy who makes time for big potluck gatherings and Gonzaga basketball, where his Bulldogs pride runs strong every season. He also loves Colorado living, golfing across the state’s many courses, camping in Steamboat, and hiking the trails of the Rockies.
