Bella Mesa Traffic Circle

Bella Mesa Traffic Circle is located at the intersection of Mickelson Boulevard and Mitchell Street in Castle Rock, Colorado. The design focuses on traffic flow, accessibility, and eye-appeal replacing a longstanding bottleneck for the growing Bella Mesa Neighborhood and surrounding schools. Redland’s multi-disciplinary team successfully transformed the intersection of Mickelson Boulevard and Mitchell Street into a modern traffic circle, providing Civil Engineering, Construction Management, and Landscape Architecture services under one roof.

When challenging hard rock conditions emerged during excavation, our coordinated team response kept the project on track without missing a beat. To ensure minimal impact on the community, we engineered a temporary bypass that maintained traffic flow along Mickelson Boulevard throughout construction. The finished roundabout delivers improved safety and traffic circulation while demonstrating how Redland’s integrated approach and collaborative problem-solving turn infrastructure challenges into successful outcomes.
